Operation:
To control the cinema projector, use the two remotes located in the right nightstand drawer. The sleek-looking white and black remote powers on and off the system. Note that this remote is only for powering the projector on and off. The projector screen will automatically descend when the projector is powered on, and ascend when powered off. Once the projector is on, use the other (Roku) remote for all functions. It should default to Home, but if it does not, simply press the Home button on the top of the Roku remote.
Entertainment options:
The most popular options are Plex and Fubo TV. Plex is School 31’s own entertainment streaming service. On Plex, you can choose from over 100 of the most popular films and TV shows. Fubo TV has all your favorite TV shows, live sports, and news.
The projector also has Netflix installed. Please note that guests must use their own login to access this service.
Please be advised that the projector can only connect to apps such as Netflix and Plex. TV programming and live sports cannot be watched on the projector. S31 does not support connecting game consoles and other peripherals to the projector.
Troubleshooting:
Issue: The picture is lost and replaced with a small icon in the center of the screen.
Solution: Loft 208 features a laser projector. When the projector senses that someone has gotten too close to it, the laser is disabled and the picture is replaced with a small icon in the center of the screen. This is a safety measure. To restore the picture, press the volume up or down button on the projector (smaller black and white) remote.
Please be advised: do not walk in the line of sight of the laser to prevent this issue from happening again.
